Aspiring Ski & Splitboard Guides & Snow Professionals

Buena Vista Mountain Adventures (BVMA) is thrilled to offer a 150-hour, partially paid, Ski & Splitboard Guide & Snow Professional Internship for the 2024-25 season. This comprehensive program is designed to fully immerse participants in all aspects of our guiding and educational operations. Interns will gain valuable hands-on experience in areas such as day-to-day operations, reservations and client screening, pre and post-trip procedures, tracking conditions, and terrain mapping/documentation. Successful completion of the internship program not only enhances participants' chances of future employment with BVMA but also provides them with industry-relevant skills and knowledge, making them attractive candidates for other companies as well. The internship spans 20 weeks, with a variable schedule ranging from 7-30 hours per week. A more detailed schedule will be provided during the interview process.

Prerequisites:

Wilderness First Responder certification
American Avalanche Association (A3) Approved Recreational Level 1 Course (AIARE or Similar)
2 seasons of backcountry skiing or splitboarding experience
Advanced skiing or riding ability in bounds
